Replace your Jeep JL / JLU Wrangler or JT Gladiator’s factory ball joints with Synergy MFG’s NEW Heavy Duty Ball Joint kit. These ball joints use a metal on metal bearing design, unlike the factory (plastic nylon bearing design), to improve durability, longevity, and performance. A must for vehicles with lifts and larger tires that see off road use. Get rid of that steering wander and play caused by loose or worn out ball joints. While Jeep may have updated the JL / JLU and JT steering knuckle to use a dual load bearing upper and lower ball joint, they still kept the problematic nylon inner liner which is prone to premature wear. Our Heavy Duty Ball Joints feature the latest metal on metal design used in our other ball joint applications with our proven design that are sure to stand the test of time.

Fitments:

Part # Fitment
4170-01 2018- 2024 Jeep JL / JLU / JT
4170-60 2018-2024 Jeep JL / JLU / JT
4170-04 2018-2024 Jeep  JL / JLU / JT

  • Compatible with all aftermarket axle shafts (including RCV’s) with no modifications needed
  • Fully greaseable metal on metal ball Joint bearing surface has considerably larger area than stock due to elimination of the inner nylon liner for a longer lasting joint
  • Heavy duty, heat treated stud prevents unwanted movement and premature failure
  • Improves road manners and corrects sloppy steering

Features:

  • Fully greaseable metal on metal design for prolonged life
  • High carbon alloy 1045 steel ball joint housing provides a smooth bearing surface and robust design
  • Ball joint bearing race is manufactured from sintered graphite & oil impregnated bronze for a strong, smooth, bearing surface
  • Ball joint stud is manufactured from induction heat treated 4140 Chromoly steel for maximum strength and reliability
  • Ball joint dust boots are made from an industrial grade, wear and tear resistant black nitro-butyl rubber (NBR)

Notes:

  • Metal on metal ball joints require a small break-in period of typically 100-500 miles to fully “seat” the bearing surfaces. During this time the steering may feel “sticky” or slow to “return to center”. Once broken in, the steering will be smooth and tight.
  • Knurled ball joints are required when replacing ball joints that have enlarged the axle end forging bores
  • It is up to the installer to verify the proper ball joint style is being used
  • Synergy High Performance Grease (4119) recommended

Synergy Front Track Bar Relocation Bracket 3″+ Lift for 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU, 2020+ Jeep Gladiator JT

The Synergy Jeep JL/JLU/JT Front Track Bar relocation bracket is the definitive fix for a lifted JL or JT. When lifting beyond 2” it becomes critical to correct several important areas of the suspension geometry. By raising the track bar mount at the axle side we can simultaneously re-center the axle under the vehicle and raise the roll center height to improve the stability of the lifted Jeep. When we flatten out the angles of the drag link and track bar at ride height, we minimize axle shift during suspension travel. This bracket completes the package for our Stage 3 system, and combines with our proven drag link to create the 8811-01 JL/JLU/JT Steering Correction Kit.

Fitments:

  • 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL / JLU
  • 2020+ Jeep JT Gladiator Gas/Diesel

Benefits:

  • Correctly re-centers front axle at 3” lift height without a track bar
  • Raises vehicle roll center height for improved stability and reduced body roll
  • Lessens track bar angle to improve geometry

Features:

  • Raises front track bar 3.125″ from stock location.
  • Laser cut and CNC formed from 3/16 and 1/4 inch steel for precision fit and maximum durability.
  • Securely indexes to the factory track bar bracket and reinforces with additional attachment points.
  • Raises axle side sway bar mounting holes to improve geometry for lifted Jeeps.
  • 100 percent bolt-on design assures an easy, trouble free installation with the use of basic hand tools.
  • No cutting or drilling required.
  • Suspension components feature an abrasion-resistant powder coat finish for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.

Options:

  • 8800-01 Jeep JL/JLU/JT Heavy Duty Drag Link

Notes:

  • The 8855-11 supersedes the 8855-01
  • Must run drag link in high steer configuration, flipped above knuckle, to use this bracket
  • We always recommend manually disconnecting your sway bar links in any offroad application on both Rubicon and non-Rubicon models
  • 8875-01 adjustable front track bar recommended for lifts 3” or higher.
  • Minimum of 3” bump stop spacing required.
  • Maximum 4.75” wheel backspacing required to clear drag link in flipped position.

Synergy Steering Correction Kit 2-4″ Front Lift for 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU, 2020+ Jeep Gladiator JT

The Synergy Jeep JL/JLU/JT Steering Correction Kit is the ultimate fix for a lifted JL or JT. When lifting beyond 2” it becomes critical to correct several important areas of the vehicle’s suspension geometry. Increased drag link and track bar angles contribute to bump steer and wander. Our Steering Correction kit allows our drag link to be flipped to the top-side of the steering knuckle, and the track bar mount at the axle side to be raised 3.25″. Combining both of these proven components, we can simultaneously re-center the axle under the vehicle and raise the roll center height to improve the stability of your lifted Jeep. When we flatten out the angles of the drag link and track bar at ride height, we minimize axle shift during suspension travel. Adding this kit to your 3″ or greater lift will dramatically improve your vehicles handling and capabilities.

Fitments:

  • 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL / JLU
  • 20+ Jeep JT Gladiator

Benefits:

  • Correctly re-centers front axle at 3” lift height without a track bar
  • Raises vehicle roll center height for improved stability and reduced body roll.
  • Lessens track bar angle to improve geometry

Features:

  • 8800-01 Drag Link is CNC formed from 1.5 inch x .250 wall DOM tubing
  • Includes Synergy HD Metal on Metal Tie Rod Ends with a Single Plane version at the pitman arm side to completely eliminate Drag Link Flop.
  • 8855-11 Bracket raises front track bar 3.125″ from stock location.
  • Synergy Double Adjuster Sleeve allows adjustment of drag link length without removing it from the vehicle
  • Both ends of the bar use pinch bolts instead of jam nuts to simplify installation and adjustment.
  • No cutting or drilling required.
  • Suspension components feature an abrasion-resistant powder coat finish for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
  • 100 percent bolt on components assures an easy, trouble free installation with the use of basic hand tools.

Includes:

  • 8855-11 Jeep JL/JLU/JT Front Track Bar Relocation Bracket
  • 8800-01 Jeep JL/JLU/JT Heavy Duty Drag Link

Notes:

  • We always recommend manually disconnecting your sway bar links in any offroad application on both Rubicon and non-Rubicon models
  • Must run drag link in high steer configuration, flipped above knuckle, to use this bracket.
  • 8875-01 adjustable front track bar recommended for lifts 3” or higher.
  • Minimum of 3” bump stop spacing required.
