Cognito Fox Steering Stabilizer Kit for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD

Part: 210-91333

In 2011, GM introduced a redesigned HD platform with numerous improvements, including updates to the steering system and frame-mounted components. However, the pitman and idler arms remained mounted in single shear to the center link—a known weak point. Most steering performance issues are addressed with the Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit (SKU 110-90772), which reinforces the system by converting to a double shear mount. Still, some truck owners choose to further enhance control with the addition of a steering stabilizer.

This Cognito FOX Steering Stabilizer Kit is fully compatible with the Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit.

For model years 2011-2014 and most of 2015, GM included OEM provisions for a steering stabilizer, requiring two mounting points: one on the right side of the steering center link and one on the left side of the frame. All 2011+ models retain the center link mounting provision—a tapered hole near the idler arm. However, only 2011-2014 and select 2015 trucks came with the frame-side mounting clevis (two welded tabs on the crossmember). This OEM clevis interferes with the Cognito bracket and must be removed if present, as the included FOX stabilizer is not compatible with the factory mounting location.

For 2016+ models, GM eliminated the factory clevis, making this kit a truly bolt-on solution—no cutting, drilling, or welding required.

Features and Benefits:

  • Reduce feedback from the road through the steering wheel
  • Simple and completely bolt on installation for 2016+ model years
  • 2011-2015 model years require cutting off of the OEM frame clevis with tabs
  • Includes Fox Performance Series 2.0 IFP Steering Stabilizer
  • Compatible with the Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit
  • Compatible with lift kits that have the center link in the factory location
  • DIY Install Time: 20 min

Level up your K2‑platform Chevy/GMC 1500 with a plug‑and‑play front suspension upgrade built for real‑world control. These Bilstein 5100 RCD‑spec coilovers arrive fully assembled with OE‑style replacement coils, top mounts, and hardware-so you can skip the spring compressor and bolt them in with confidence. Tuned around Bilstein 5100 shock 24-246019 (as used in RCD 6″ kits), this setup restores ride quality and tightens handling on trucks running a 6″ suspension lift.

Why You’ll Like Them

  • No spring compressor needed: Pre‑assembled with new top mounts and hardware for a faster, safer install.
  • RCD‑spec damping: Built by Bilstein for RCD 6″ lift systems using shock 24-246019 for confident control on‑ and off‑road.
  • Monotube performance: 46 mm digressive piston, nitrogen gas‑charged for consistent, fade‑free damping.
  • OE‑style comfort, lifted stance: Pairs correctly with your 6″ lift to keep steering feel and ride quality on point.

Choose Your Coil Option

  • OE Replacement / Aftermarket: Assembled with high‑quality OE‑style coils from reputable brands (e.g., Moog/Mevotech or best available).
  • GM Genuine Coil: Assemble with factory GM coils for true OEM spring rate and feel. Requires a PRO code-contact us to enable.

What’s Included

  • 2 × Bilstein 5100 front shocks (24-246019, RCD spec)
  • 2 × OE/OEM‑style replacement front coil springs (or GM Genuine, if selected)

Technical Notes

  • Bilstein 5100 monotube design, digressive valving, nitrogen gas‑charged
  • Engineered for trucks equipped with 6″ lift components (spindles/knuckles, crossmembers, etc.)
  • Alignment is required after installation.
  • If equipped with factory adaptive damping systems, additional parts or coding may be required (contact us before ordering).
