Q I have put slightly larger tires on my Tahoe. Now they rub on the inner fenders when I turn. Will...... Read more answer nowA A body lift raises the body of the vehicle off the frame by 3 inches using spacers — it does NOT raise the suspension or increase suspension travel. This creates more clearance inside the wheel wells, especially vertically, which can help with tire rubbing on the inner fender liners or pinch welds. Will it help your rubbing? YES — if: Your tires are rubbing on the upper inner fender (plastic liners) during turning or compression. The rubbing is mild and only happens at full lock or when hitting bumps. You're trying to gain space without changing suspension geometry. MAY NOT HELP — if: Your tires are rubbing on control arms, frame, or suspension components (a body lift won’t move those). The wheels have too low offset (too much poke). The rubbing is severe — then a suspension lift, trimming, or different wheels may be needed.
