Built for control on and off road
Upgrade your F-250’s ride, handling, and heat management with Bilstein B8 5160 remote reservoir shocks. The 46 mm monotube design with velocity-sensitive digressive valving delivers firm, controlled damping on pavement and confidence on washboard, corrugations, and forest roads. The remote reservoirs add oil volume for cooler temps and fade-free performance during towing, hauling, or long off-road runs.
Quick highlights
- Lift range: Front fits trucks with a 2-2.5 in leveling kit – Rear fits 0-3 in lift blocks/add-a-leaf
- Remote reservoir: Increased oil capacity for better cooling and consistent damping
- Bilstein digressive valving: Responsive control over small bumps with stability at speed and under load
- Swivel banjo fitting: 360-degree hose orientation for a clean, low-profile install
- Zinc plated body: Corrosion resistant finish for US winters and coastal climates
- Direct-fit: No fab work required – tuned specifically for F-250 Super Duty
Will these fit my truck?
- Vehicle: Ford F-250 Super Duty 2017-2025, 2WD or 4WD
- Front requirement: Truck must already have a 2-2.5 in front leveling spring, spacer, or coilover lift
- Rear requirement: Compatible with stock rear height up to 3 in of rear lift
- Not a height adjuster: Shocks do not add lift by themselves – they are matched to the lift you already have
Best for
- Daily driving with fewer oscillations and better body control
- Towing and hauling where heat and fade are a concern
- Gravel roads, washboard, mild to moderate off-road trails

- Alignment required after any suspension height change – verify front end alignment after install
- Retorque fasteners after 100-200 km of driving
How to choose the correct height
- Front: Measure hub-to-fender before ordering. If your leveling kit lifts 2-2.5 in at the front, these are the correct front shocks. If you are stock height at the front, choose a stock-height 5160 or 5100 instead.
- Rear: If rear sits stock, choose 0 in lift setting. If you run 1-3 in rear blocks or add-a-leaf, these rears match that range.
Why Bilstein B8 5160 for F-250
- Fade-free damping when loaded or on long corrugated roads
- Better small-bump compliance vs twin-tube shocks, with superior body control
- Long service life and consistent performance thanks to monotube design
Customer FAQs
Do these shocks lift my truck? No. They are length- and valving-matched to trucks already leveled 2-2.5 in in front and 0-3 in in the rear.
Gas or diesel fitment? These part numbers are tuned for the F-250 Super Duty platform. Valving is application-specific for the truck, not the engine, and works for 2WD and 4WD.
Do I need new coils or blocks? Only if you are changing ride height. These shocks pair with your existing lift components.
