FOX 2.0 Performance IFP 0-2 inches Lift Shocks 2005-2026 Nissan Frontier
Part Number: 983-02-054
Summary: The FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP shock kit provides a direct replacement solution for the 2005-2026 Nissan Frontier, engineered to maximize suspension travel both on and off the road. Utilizing an Internal Floating Piston (IFP), these shocks are designed to provide a predictable ride quality capable of handling rough conditions. The metal-impacted aluminum bodies focus on rapid heat dissipation to ensure consistent damping performance compared to traditional steel shocks.
Features
- Internal Floating Piston (IFP): High-pressure nitrogen gas charge provides a separation between the oil and gas to ensure a predictable, fade-free ride quality.
- Aluminum Body: Metal-impacted 2.0 inches aluminum construction provides faster heat dissipation than steel to ensure consistent performance during repeated cycling.
- Redundant Sealing System: Multi-layer seals provide enhanced durability to ensure long-lasting performance in harsh environments.
- Vehicle Specific Tuning: Application-specific valving provides optimized damping characteristics to ensure the suspension is tuned specifically for the Nissan Frontier.

Why Choose This Product?
- Engineering Advantage: The use of Internal Floating Piston (IFP) technology prevents oil aeration, while the aluminum body construction manages thermal loads more effectively than conventional steel twin-tube shocks.
- Performance Benefit: Drivers experience improved control and a more stable ride across varied terrain without the complexity of external reservoirs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the benefit of the IFP design?
The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas, which eliminates oil aeration and allows for more consistent performance in rough conditions.
Are these shocks serviceable?
Yes, according to the manufacturer, these 2.0 Performance Series shocks are 100 percent serviceable and tunable for a longer lifespan.
Do these shocks help with heat?
Yes, the aluminum body is designed to dissipate heat faster than steel, which helps maintain damping performance during extended use.

Will lift blocks be required inn the rear to get the 2inch lift that the Front is able to do?
-
0 votesQ Will lift blocks be required inn the rear to get the 2inch lift that the Front is able to do?A Rear shocks will not lift your truck by themselves - some lift kit options as add-a-leafs or longer coils or maybe spacers will be required for a lift. These shocks are only longer than the stock shocks - designed for use with the existing lift.
Will these fit with the rough country 2.5 inch leveling lift kit?
-
0 votesQ Will these fit with the rough country 2.5 inch leveling lift kit?A It is not recommended to stack lifts. If you have spacers installed - they are to be removed
