Description
Bilstein/OME 2.5″ 5100 Assembled Coilover Lift Kit for 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner

Bilstein 5100 2.5″ Coilover Lift Kit — 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner (5th Gen)

Part #: BIL4R10K

Unlock confident control on-road and composed performance off-road with the legendary Bilstein 5100 series. This kit pairs height-adjustable Bilstein 5100 front shocks (assembled with your choice of Old Man Emu (OME) coils) and matched 5100 rears to deliver up to ~2.5″ of front lift, improved body control, and that planted, predictable Bilstein feel your 4Runner deserves.

  • Monotube performance: 46 mm digressive piston keeps damping consistent over washboards, potholes, and highway expansion joints.
  • Ride height tuning: Front 5100 shocks feature snap-ring grooves for lift adjustment (pre-set on the lowest clip to work correctly with OME lift coils).
  • Fade-free control: High-pressure nitrogen and large oil volume resist heat buildup under repeated hits.
  • Durable finish: Corrosion-resistant zinc plating stands up to real-world weather.
  • Daily-driver friendly: Taut, controlled handling without the harshness—ideal for commuting, camping, towing, and trail days.

What’s Included

  • Front: (2) Bilstein 5100 height-adjustable shocks 24-328258 (supersedes 24-196499), assembled with OME front coils (select spring option from the dropdown).
  • Rear: (2) Bilstein 5100 shocks 33-313146, compatible with 0-2″ rear liftSet of rear lifted coil springs.
  • All components as shown in product photos.

Assembly note: We ship the front shocks on the lowest snap-ring setting because the OME coils already add lift. Raising the clip with lift coils can over-lift the front and may cause suspension issues.

Choosing Your Front OME Coils

Pick the front spring rate from the dropdown to match your build. As a rule of thumb:

  • Stock weight / light accessories: standard-rate OME coils for best ride height and comfort.
  • Medium load (aluminium skids, occasional gear): medium-rate coils maintain height without harshness.
  • Heavy load (steel bumper, winch, constant gear): heavy-rate coils keep proper rake and prevent sagging.

Ride, Handling & Tire Fitment

The 5100’s digressive valving firms up initial body motion for flatter cornering and better braking stability, while opening on big hits to avoid harshness. With ~2-2.5″ front lift and 0-2″ rear, many 5th-gen 4Runners run up to 275/70R17 with proper wheel specs; trimming and caster settings vary by wheel offset and tire brand.

Installation Notes

  • Alignment required after any suspension lift.
  • Torque all hardware at ride height.
  • Do not raise the front snap-ring when using lift coils; over-lifting can harm suspension geometry and CVs.

Why Bilstein 5100?

  • Proven worldwide: A go-to upgrade for trucks and SUVs for two decades.
  • Confidence in the rough: Controlled damping keeps the truck composed on washboard and fire roads.
  • OEM-grade durability: Long service life with readily available replacements.

FAQs

Will this kit work with X-REAS?

No. This package is not compatible with factory X-REAS systems. You can probably still install it, but XREAS will be removed.

How much lift should I expect?

Front: up to ~2.5″ depending on coil choice and vehicle weight. Rear: select 0-2″ via the Bilstein rear spring options above.

Do I need an alignment?

Yes—always get a professional alignment after installing suspension components.

Can I move the front snap-ring higher?

Not with lift coils. The shocks ship on the lowest clip because OME coils already add height. Raising the clip with lift coils can over-lift the front and cause issues.
