Our customers often ask us, if they need to add factory overload for progressive add a leafs or not?

-If the overload is removed the vehicle will lose the towing capacity and will get about 1.5 inches of lift.
If the overload stays the vehicle will keep  the towing capacity and payload and will get about 2 inches of lit.

Some vehicles like 2018 Toyota 4Runner with KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) may be a bit tricky to install a lift kit on.

Reason why is the front and rear sway bars need to be rest on a jack without disconnecting them. The only parts that need to be disconnected is the radiator support bracket and the “C” clamp holding the sway bars while resting the sway bar on the jack so the hydraulic system. We recommend that if you don’t have experience installing suspensions to take it to a professional shop because KDSS is a different ball game

Customers who ride Toyota FJ Cruisers often ask us:

“All the kits I’m finding are 3inch and will only accommodate 33 inch tires. I want to run 35 inch with what I’ve already got done to it. Any suggestions?”

We can answer that:

To fit 35 inch tires is a lot of work.
1.- The vehicle will require to have a body mount chop
2.- Flatten out the pinch welds with a huge hammer
3.- Re gear the rear differential and that can cost up to $2,000 dollars depending on the brand of the gears plus labor
4.- Cutting the front fenders might be required also

For 4Runners with XREAS, it will be the same suspension system as the others. The only thing that will be needed to be removed is the hoses from the XREAS and disconnect the shocks, by doing this the vehicle won’t have any lights on the dashboard or malfunction with the vehicle’s computer since XREAS is 100% mechanical. Any of our suspensions will work perfectly fine after XREAS is disconnected
