Bilstein Rear Extended-Travel Shocks (2.5–3.5″ Lift) for 1995.5–2004 Toyota Tacoma — Pair (A463)

Pair of Bilstein 5125 extended-travel rear shocks tuned for leaf-spring Tacomas with 2.5–3.5″ of rear lift. Direct bolt-on for 1995.5–2004 Toyota Tacoma (2WD/4WD). Zinc-plated monotube construction with included 9.8108R bushings and eyelet/eyelet mounts.

Fitment & Lift Range

  • Vehicle: Toyota Tacoma (mid-1995 ½ launch) through 2004, all trims, 2WD/4WD
  • Rear lift height: 2.5″ to 3.5″ (not for stock height)
  • Use with: add-a-leafs, lift leaf packs, or extended shackles providing 2.5–3.5″ net lift

Install Notes

  • Bolt-on; reuse OE hardware where applicable; torque to factory specs
  • Check bump-stop engagement at full compression; install longer bump-stops if needed to prevent the shock from bottoming before the bump-stops
  • Cycle the suspension to verify brake line slack and shock travel at full droop
  • Re-torque hardware after initial settling

Things to Know

  • Not recommended for less than 2.5″ of rear lift
  • Designed to pair well with our Tacoma rear lift solutions (AALs or lift leaf packs)

No. They are engineered for 2.5–3.5″ of rear lift.
Do I need longer bump-stops?
Often, yes. Verify that the bump-stops contact before the shock bottoms out at full compression.
Are these for 2WD or 4WD?
They fit both 2WD and 4WD 1995.5–2004 Tacomas when lifted 2.5–3.5″ in the rear.
Do they include bushings and hardware?
9.8108R bushings are included. Reuse OE bolts/nuts unless otherwise specified.

      A For extended length shocks it is not needed as they are longer then stock. Can be used with at least 2,5'' of rear lift
